Claire Morley - Creative Director
"I started training with the Hair Academy in 2004 on a Level 3 Apprenticeship. The NVQ programme gave me the fundamentals I needed to progress in my career. I have progressed from Assisstant to Stylists to Top Stylist to Style Director and I am now the Creative Director for the Contemporary Salons Group. I travel doing shows and delivering education to other Hairdressers. I do London Fashion Week and work with L'Oreal Professional. I love the industry and the opportunities it has given me. I strive to win North Eastern Hairdresser of the Year."

Emily Garbutt - Franchisee
"I started my career at Contemporary Salons Stockton on a Customer Service Apprenticeship in 2007. When I got an insight into the exciting world of Hairdressing I decided to undertake a Level 2 and 3 Apprenticeship in Hairdressing. My manager was very helpful and allowed me to progress in my new venture. I progressed from Stylist to Assistant Manager and I have just recently became the Franchisee which means I now own my own salon. I have also completed the Barbering programme with the Hair Academy and I am currently doing the L'Oreal Ambassador programme. The Hair Academy have supported me throughout my career and have helped me to achieve everything I have today."

I have since completed Level 3 Hairdressing, L2 Barbering and just recently completed my TAQA Assessors qualification. I now continue to work full time at Contemporary as a style Director as well as teaching Barbering at the Hair Academy. I love working for the Hair Academy and passing on my knowledge to learners and I look forward to seeing them progress in their job role just as I did."

Jane Rogers - Salon Owner
"I started my training on a full time NVQ Level 1 Programme at the Hair Academy in 2012 and progressed quickly onto Level 2. I then gained an Apprenticeship at Contemporary Salons Middlesbrough which helped me to gain full time employment at Contemporary Middlesbrough. My aim was to open my own salon and the Hair Academy gave me the skills I needed to progress in my career. In 2014 I opened my own salon in Middlesbrough which is going really well for me. I am currently completing a barbering course with the Hair Academy and I am excited to employ my own apprentices through them in the future!"
